Introduction

INTRODUCTION

Serstech started in 2002 when a team led by Prof. Jörg Hübner in the Department of Nanotechnology at DTU developed an extremely small spectrometer. Then the company started when Jörg met a team of Swedish entrepreneurs in 2006 with the vision of making a small, accurate and cost-effective spectrometer.

Serstech has focused on the safety and security industry as a first step in its evolution, but the technology and products are not limited to this industry. As the use of chemicals increases in virtually all industries and government regulations follow, the need for quick and easy identification and documentation of chemicals will continue to increase for several years to come.

Serstech’s solutions are used in the pharmaceutical production industry and its products are compliant with FDA’s Title 21 CFR part 11 regulations. Serstech 100 Indicator Pharma, Serstech Arx+ and Serstech ChemDash are all CFR compliant.

Serstech Arx

Serstech Arx is a revolutionizing instrument, introducing SharpEye^TM – a patented auto focus technology which improves the signal quality dramatically. Serstech Arx identifies unknown substances quickly and precisely.

Serstech Arx and SharpEye^TMgive a precise result since SharpEye^TM identify substances precisely, thanks to automatically obtaining the optimal focus point in milliseconds. It can detect the difference between the container and the actual substance, giving an improved measurement result. The autofocus makes it possible to detect and minimize fluorescence from containers.

New user interface and efficient workflows. Serstech Arx is built on a modern software platform, putting usability and algorithms in focus. NEW: Serstech SERS Kit

Quick identification of difficult substances:

• Cocaine • Marijuana • Low concentration street samples

The Serstech SERS kit is used together with Serstech 100 Indicator to enhance the capability to identify dark coloured substances or mixtures with very low concentrations. The device is even capable of detecing ppm levels of “street quality” samples of e.g. heroin, fentanyls marijuana and cannabis among others. The Serstech SERS kit is based on patent pending technology used together with disposable SERS surfaces.

In short, the signals from substances are amplified while fluorescence is being reduced. This is made possible thanks to 3D oscillation.The disposable surfaces are available in packs of 20 or 100 pieces together with sample preparation bottles pre-filled with solvent.

As with all Serstech’s products, the Serstech SERS Kit is developed and produced in Sweden and is available in volumes now.
